The competition is open to Hutchinsons employees and immediate family – the cut-off date for entries is 31st October.

Both the winner and runner-up will have their winning photos framed.

The winner will also receive up to £100 towards photography equipment of their choice, and the runner-up will receive up to £50.

The theme for our competition is: the seasons

The theme is open to your personal interpretation but we are looking for photographs of the landscape, agriculture, horticulture, sport or recreation.

All entries will be judged by our panel in November 2023.

There is no entry fee.

  1. Photos from a phone, tablet, compact or digital SLR camera are all welcome.
  2. Photos can be in landscape or portrait orientation or square.
  3. The competition is open to Hutchinsons employees and immediate family.
  4. Photographs entered must be taken within the British Isles, or in Sri Lanka for colleagues based from our Sri Lanka office.
  5. Photographs must have been taken in between 1st November 2022 and 31st October 2023.
  6. Each entrant can submit up to three photos in total as JPEG format by email, no printed copies. Please indicate on the email if the name of the photographer if this is different than the person sending the email.
  7. Please send your entries to maisie.brighty@hlhltd.co.uk
  8. Please retain the original digital image after sending in your entry until the competition is closed.
  9. You can enter images that have had spots, scratches or other blemishes removed. You can have worked on the colour or enhanced the image for the sake of the composition. You can also crop the image to improve composition.
  10. Entrants must not be professional photographers. For the purposes of this competition, a professional photographer is someone who generates income from the sale of their photographs.
  11. The competition is open now and closes on 31st October 2023, the winners will be announced to be business and prizes awarded in November 2023.
  12. All photographs will be judged on the following criteria: composition, technical ability, originality, suitability to the theme and public appeal.
  13. All entries must be the original work of the entrant and must not infringe the rights of any other party.
  14. Judging will take place in early November. A panel of judges from within the business will view the images digitally, discuss and score to find the winners. The competition is not open to judges.
  15. Please take your photos responsibly and always follow the Countryside Code.
