Trainee Soils Services Specialist

Owing to growth, we are seeking Trainee Soils Services Specialist to join our Healthy Soils team. Through our excellent training programme, we are looking for someone to develop into the role of Soils Services Specialist where you will be responsible for promoting, selling, and delivering our Healthy Soil services to new and existing clients while contributing to development of this specialist area.

The role will develop into delivering the following key responsibilities –

• Deliver high-quality Healthy Soil Services to existing and prospective clients, optimising fee income.
• Promote Hutchinsons’ full range of agricultural services and products.
• Deliver training and provide support to Healthy Soils Connected Groups and establish new groups.
• Train and support our agronomy team, enhancing their ability to promote and deliver soil health solutions.
• Deliver presentations at events, conferences, and farmer meetings.
• Assist in the development and refinement of soil services.
• Provide interpretation of soil and plant analysis and offer crop nutrition guidance.
• Work closely with industry leading colleagues to facilitate knowledge transfer.

About you

• Whilst both on and off the job training will be provided you will have a keen interest in soil health and sustainable farming practices, and have gained a basis of knowledge either through work experience or study.
• A keen interest in working with different customers to deliver agricultural advisory services, sales, or training.
• Confident communication and presentation skills.
• Proactive approach to development and learning.
• Passion for supporting farmers and improving soil health for long-term sustainability.
