Sales Ledger Administrator

Hutchinsons is a progressive, family-owned business with over 500 colleagues and 28 depots across the UK. We support UK agriculture, providing our farmer clients with the advice and right tools to support them in the production of high quality, profitable crops both responsibly and sustainably.

We are looking for a detail-oriented Sales Ledger Administrator to help maintain an accurate and efficient ledger. In this role, you’ll process payments, ensure invoices and statements are sent on time and handle customer queries — all while delivering outstanding customer service.

Role responsibilities include:

• Ensuring cheque payments are promptly banked and accurately posted to customer accounts.
• Handling telephone and email queries, providing copy invoices, statements, and credit notes as needed.
• Accurately documenting and escalating queries to the relevant credit controller.
• Processing customer credit/debit card payments over the phone.
• Monitoring and actioning emails received in sales ledger mailboxes.
• Maintaining cash sale accounts, ensuring receipts are correctly allocated.
