The Role: What You Will Achieve

This is a high-impact position where you will be an integral business partner, using marketing to deliver measurable commercial outcomes.

Scale and Impact

  • National Reach: Headquartered in Wisbech with flexible hybrid arrangements, your strategy will support a vast enterprise operating across the UK, supported by multiple depots and diverse, commercially active divisions, including specialist Services and Produce Packaging.
  • High-Profile Engagement: Lead the planning and execution of over multiple events annually, including major, high-visibility national customer events that are critical to our brand and commercial calendar.
  • Outcome FocusThis role is deeply outcome-focused, leveraging data, analytics, and ROI to drive lead generation and prove marketing’s contribution to the bottom line.

Leadership and Team Development

  • You will lead, motivate, and develop a sizeable team of specialists with expertise spanning Event Management, Campaign Management, and Digital Marketing.
  • Your mission is to foster a culture of excellence and collaboration, ensuring the marketing team operates as a strategic partner to regional and commercial teams.

 

Key Responsibilities: Shaping Our Brand and Strategy

We’re seeking a driven and strategic Head of Marketing to lead the development and execution of our marketing strategy. This pivotal role will shape how our brand is positioned in the market, delivering impactful, data-driven campaigns that raise awareness, drive lead generation, and support our continued growth.

Strategy & Planning

  • Develop, plan, and execute the company’s comprehensive marketing strategy in alignment with overarching business goals.
  • Oversee the planning, implementation, and rigorous performance measurement of multi-channel regional marketing campaigns.

Brand & Communications

  • Manage and evolve our brand strategy, positioning, and messaging to strengthen our market presence, reinforcing our status as thought leaders and innovation-focused drivers in the sector.
  • Oversee all external communications, including PR, digital channels, and media relations, helping us influence industry dialogues.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key external stakeholders, such as industry influencers and partners.

Market Insight & Effectiveness

  • Conduct ongoing market research to monitor trends, customer needs, satisfaction levels, and the competitive landscape.
  • Deliver regular insight reports, providing analysis, learnings, and recommendations for optimisation and business development opportunities.
  • Manage and enhance the company’s CRM system to improve campaign performance, track customer insights, and support business development initiatives.
  • Manage the marketing budget to ensure effective spend allocation and maximise return on investment.

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Foster a culture of collaboration and business partnering between Marketing and regional teams to deliver effective campaigns, sales support, and customer-focused initiatives.
  • Coordinate all major internal and external events that support brand visibility and engagement.

 

About You: The Ideal Candidate

  • We are looking for a marketing leader who combines strong strategic vision with a commitment to data-driven execution.
  • Proven experience in marketing leadership, preferably within a B2B or industrial/agricultural environment.
  • Strong strategic thinking with hands-on campaign management experience.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills.
  • A collaborative mindset and a passion for driving brand growth through data-driven marketing.
  • Able and willing to commute to Wisbech on a regular basis.
