Following an internal promotion, we’re pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for an ambitious agronomist, looking to take the next step in their career as an Area Business Manager. Responsible for supporting in the day-to-day management of our Wisbech and Soham based agronomy teams, you’ll be working alongside them to strengthen customer relationships, develop new opportunities and help the team stay connected and informed whilst fostering a positive and supportive environment.

 

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll work closely with the Regional Director and the wider team to keep communication flowing, support business development, and contribute to the long-term success of the region. You will also deliver agronomy services to customers, ensuring that your technical knowledge remains up to date.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of agronomists, predominately based across Cambridgeshire and Suffolk, supporting in their own professional development, helping to achieve their goals and reach their personal potential.
  • Work with team members, supporting them in developing their business.
  • Build, maintain and share strong professional network in the region.
  • Facilitate a good team dynamic, encouraging collaboration and teamwork, ensuring that opportunities to cross-sell are spotted and maximised.
  • Successfully manage your own agronomy clients and continue to develop and strengthen your own client base.
  • Communicate regularly with the team, sharing key information regarding the business and wider industry.
  • Be a point of escalation for more challenging client queries/support in the management of any complaints.

 

What We’re Looking For

  • FACTS and BASIS qualified agronomist, with a strong reputation in the local area.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
  • Organised, proactive, and comfortable managing and supporting a remote team
  • Someone who values team culture and connection
