Hutchinsons is a progressive, family-owned national business founded over 80 years ago. Over 200 agronomists are dedicated to supporting farmer clients in producing high qualify, profitable crops responsibly and sustainably. Our Butterwick depot wishes to recruit a new Depot Supervisor to support the distribution team.
We are looking for an individual with previous experience within a dedicated Depot Supervisor role managing the stock and customer liaison from the Butterwick Depot.
Essential

- Agricultural background preferred but not essential
- Chemical supply warehousing experience is desirable
- Ability to reliably commute to site
- Ability to work additional hours during the peak season
Role Specific Responsibilities
Storage & Distribution
- Oversee storage & stock management of products from the depot and provide excellent customer service.
- Overall responsibility for stock, including accuracy, stock checks and planning.
- Liaise with customers and colleagues (including sales staff, other depots, administration).
- Evaluate improvements in efficiency, resource utilisation, seasonal variations in requirements – whilst maintaining excellence in customer service.
- Provide guidance on day-to-day issues as required.
- Ensure properties and vehicles, including forklifts, are properly maintained and comply with legislative requirements.
- Cost awareness and influence in combination with Operations Management Team.
- Working alongside the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing site compliance, covering health and safety, road haulage and other specialist areas.
